A friend of mine once shared a remarkable story. He and his father had gone out to sea to fish. After sailing far from shore, the fishermen cast their net. Suddenly, the weather turned, and a storm began to brew. They tried to head back to shore – but the storm caught them in the open sea. All they could do was bail water from the rocking boat as fast as they could and cling to the benches, trying to stay afloat.
Then something astonishing happened. In the middle of the chaos, my friend felt a strange calm wash over him – the panic and fear vanished. Looking up into the stormy skies, he saw two glowing figures hovering above him and his father. Silent and still, they watched over the struggling boat. The sea remained wild, and the fishermen kept bailing water, yet everything was unfolding in a deep, eerie quiet…
Eventually, the storm passed. The sea calmed, and the father and son made it back to shore safely. My friend said that in that moment, he realized – it was guardian angels who had saved their lives.
Stories like this may offer guidance to those who wonder: “Perhaps the power of our divine protectors rests on the good we’ve done in the past. Let me do good deeds, refrain from wrong deeds, and purify my mind.”
